breakfasts and going all the way up to the most expensive hotels.<br />

p.s. ⁄ In the past decades <strong>Lech</strong> has made a clear commitment to<br />

quality and, contrast to other regions, has kept out of mass tourism’s<br />

reach. We still have family run businesses here where the innkeeper<br />

himself waits on his guests.<br />

L.L. ⁄ Mr Strolz, the wine menu of your restaurant Fux contains<br />

some 2,700 different wines. How do you keep track?<br />

p.s. ⁄ The restaurant Fux has been open for 14 years now. The first<br />

small wine menu had 12 whites and 14 reds on it but we used to have<br />

20 different types of beer back then! After a wine tasting with friends<br />

I found the topic so exciting I wanted to know more about it. I am<br />

an autodidact who discovered his passion for wine in the course of<br />

numerous tastings. By now I visit wine regions 4 to 6 times a year, I<br />

visit the winemakers directly and make my choice there. That’s why I<br />

know every single bottle in my cellar, they’re like my children!<br />

L.L. ⁄ What kind of events will there be at Fux within the framework<br />

of “LöffelWeise” this winter?<br />

p.s. ⁄ Well, since my wine import is focused on Burgundy and<br />

Champagne mostly, I am going to offer two Burgundy-events during<br />

“LöffelWeise”, one Chardonnay and one pinot-<strong>No</strong>ir-event!<br />

L.L. ⁄ And now a word from you, Mr prodinger: The Hotel Sandhof<br />

allegedly offers the best, biggest Whiskey Sour far and wide. Why is<br />

that the case?<br />

p.s. ⁄ Well, there’s a reason for that, we had many friends sitting<br />

at the bar and I was never fast enough behind the bar to keep their<br />

glasses constantly full. So soon we got bigger glasses – and we still<br />

have them today!
