German Design Award<br />
nomination for <strong>La</strong> <strong>Loupe</strong><br />
Wow! <strong>La</strong> <strong>Loupe</strong> was<br />
nominated for the renowned<br />
German Design<br />
Award. The prize goes to<br />
innovative products and<br />
projects whereby the focus<br />
lies on their design. A<br />
jury made up of prominent<br />
international members<br />
is responsible for<br />
choosing those submissions<br />
that stand out from<br />
the German and international<br />
design landscape.<br />
After winning the icma<br />
award in 2016 we are<br />
now more than enthusiastic<br />
22about another important<br />
nomination.<br />
Time capsule in the<br />
clocktower<br />
<strong>Lech</strong>’s clocktower was<br />
equipped with new shingles.<br />
And in order to get financial<br />
support for it, the<br />
event “Kirchturm 2080”<br />
(= clocktower 2080) was<br />
initiated. 110 time capsules<br />
were sold for 1,000<br />
euros each. Each buyer<br />
was able to individually<br />
fill their capsule which<br />
was then welded shut and<br />
became part of the clocktower<br />
which is where<br />
they will be stored until<br />
the next time the clocktower<br />
needs new shingles<br />
– say, around 2080. For<br />
that time the plan is to<br />
host an exhibition with<br />
the contents.<br />
Opening: Skyspace-<strong>Lech</strong><br />
The Arlberg was given a<br />
fascinating work of art.<br />
With his project Skyspace-<strong>Lech</strong><br />
renowned light<br />
artist James Turrell developed<br />
a light space on the<br />
mountain which has been<br />
accessible to the public<br />
since 17 Sept 2018. The<br />
work of art forms a<br />
perfect symbiosis of freely<br />
accessible art and the<br />
surrounding landscape.<br />
The location Tannegg now<br />
hosts a largely subterranean<br />
cupola that can be<br />
opened but still fits perfectly<br />
into the surroundings.<br />
That way profound<br />
experiences with light,<br />
time, and space are guaranteed.<br />

Two all-new five-star<br />
hotels<br />
Excellent quality and high<br />
standards – this principle<br />
goes for more and more of<br />

finally acquired five-star<br />
