Ein großes Problem kommt auf uns zu, und kaum
jemand realisiert die Dramatik, die im Bereich
der Unternehmensnachfolge verankert ist. Denn
der demografische Wandel in der Gesellschaft
macht auch vor dem Chefsessel nicht halt. Der
Blick in die amtliche Statistik zeigt hierbei kein
gutes Bild: Die Alterung der Unternehmensinhaber
hierzulande – immerhin gibt es bundesweit
rund drei Mio. Familienbetriebe – führt dazu,
dass immer mehr Inhaber vor der Entscheidung
stehen, den Betrieb in andere Hände übergeben
zu müssen. Je nach Studie wird die Anzahl der
potenziellen Übergaben pro Jahr auf 30.000 bis
76.000 Unternehmen geschätzt – und dies mit
steigender Tendenz. Diesem Übergabeangebot
steht bei weitem keine adäquate Anzahl an Übernahmeinteressierten
gegenüber.
A major problem associated with company succession
is coming our way, and hardly anyone
realises the dramatic nature of it, because the
demographic change in society will not spare the
management floor. A look at the official statistics
does not paint a good picture here: The owners of
the around three million family-run companies in
this country are getting older, which means more
and more owners are being faced with the deci sion
of whether to hand their business on to others.
Depending on the study, the number of potential
handovers per year is estimated at between 30,000
and 76,000 companies – and this trend is rising.
The number of these companies ready for handover
is far from being matched by an adequate
number of people interested in taking the helm.
