Caritasverband für die
Diözese Würzburg e. V.
Gegründet im März 1920, ist der Caritasverband für die Diözese Würzburg
mit seinen 900 Diensten und Einrichtungen sowie etwa 17.000
Beschäftigten seit mehr als 100 Jahren der soziale Arm der katholischen
Kirche in Unterfranken und einer der größten Arbeitgeber. Dabei umfasst
sein Angebot an Unterstützung alle Lebensphasen und -lagen –
angefangen von der Schwangerschaftsberatung bis hin zur Begleitung
kranker, pflegebedürftiger und sterbender Menschen und ihrer Angehörigen.
Ein Schwerpunkt bildet der Einsatz der Caritas in den 500
katholischen Kitas in der Region.
Die Caritas berät Menschen in finanziellen Nöten, hilft bei Suchterkrankungen,
bietet Anlaufstellen bei Obdach- und Wohnungslosigkeit und
setzt sich in Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Politik für Zusammenhalt und
ein Mehr an Gerechtigkeit ein.
Getragen wird ihr berufliches und ehrenamtliches Engagement vom
christlichen Menschenbild und dem Leitwort: Not sehen und handeln.
Ihr Auftrag ist es, die Liebe Gottes spürbar werden zu lassen.
Caritas Association for the Diocese of Würzburg
Founded in March 1920, the Caritas Association for the Diocese of
Würzburg has been the social arm of the Catholic Church in Lower
Franconia and one of the largest employers for more than 100 years with
its 900 services and facilities and about 17,000 employees. Its range of
support covers all stages and situations in life – from pregnancy counselling
to supporting sick, dependent and dying people and their families.
One focus is the use of the Caritas in the 500 Catholic childcare facilities
in the region.
