in Unterfranken.
From the 1970s onwards, the Caritas Association for the Diocese of
Würzburg e. V. established schools with a focus on language, learning,
and social as well as emotional development in order to support children
and young people with disabilities or at risk of disability.
With over forty educational facilities in the diocese of Würzburg, Caritas-
Schulen gGmbH is responsible for the largest share of private schools in
Lower Franconia. We provide support for toddlers in our early-intervention
centers, foster children in pre-school facilities, and offer targeted
school support up until the start of a professional career at diverse educational
institutions. This broad range of special schools is complimented
by all-day educational programmes and the possibility to benefit from
the therapeutical offers of our curative educational day-care centers. In
Schweinfurt and Aschaffenburg, our schools for people who are hospitalized
or under medical supervision provide assistance in returning to
general education.
Ten vocational schools, the academic dual degree program Speech
Therapy/Logopedics, as well as the Theresianum Bamberg, which offers
the possibility to retroactively achieve the Abitur (high school diploma)
for people who already have vocational education and training, complete
our educational services.
