Die Wirtschaftsförderung
der Stadt Würzburg
Die Wirtschaftsförderung der Stadt Würzburg ist die Schnittstelle
zwischen Stadtverwaltung, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft. Ihre Expertinnen
und Experten beraten bei Standortfragen, prüfen planungsrechtliche
Voraussetzungen, betreuen Unternehmensansiedlungen und vermitteln
Gewerbegrundstücke. Sie helfen ferner bei der Profilierung Würzburgs
als Lehr- und Forschungsstandort und fördern die Vernetzung der
Hochschulen mit der Wirtschaft. Darüber hinaus ist der Fachbereich
Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Standortmarketing (FB WWS) auch Teil
des hochagilen Würzburger Gründer-Ökosystems (https://gruenden.
wuerzburg.de). Beispielsweise unterstützt er Gründungsinteressierte
und Startups im Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Würzburg und im
Zen trum für Digitale Innovationen (ZDI) Mainfranken.
The Economic Development of the city of Würzburg serves as the
interface between city administration, business, and science or academia.
Their experts provide advice on location-related matters, assess planning
and regulatory conditions, assist in establishing businesses, and facilitate
the acquisition of commercial land. They also contribute to promoting
Würzburg‘s identity as an educational and research hub and encourage
the collaboration between Universities and the Business Community.
Furthermore, the Department of Economic Development, Science, and
Location Marketing is an integral part of the highly dynamic Würzburg
startup ecosystem (https://gruenden.wuerzburg.de). For instance, it supports
aspiring entrepreneurs and startups in the Würzburg Innovation
and Startup Center (IGZ) as well as in the Center for Digital Innovations
(ZDI) Mainfranken.
Der FB WWS leitet unter anderem das ZDI Mainfranken, in dem
Gründungsideen aus dem Bereich Digitalisierung gefördert werden.

Die Mischung aus qualifizierten Köpfen, Forschungseinrichtungen
und den Akteuren, die aus Ideen Geschäftsmodelle entwickeln, ist
entscheidend, um Änderungen im Zuge der Transformation unserer
Wirtschaftsregion – unabhängig der jeweiligen Branche – mit dem
auszustatten, was es braucht: Innovative Idee und Menschen, die diese
in die Tat umsetzen wollen.
ZDI Main Franconia make it possible to transfer know-how and
expertise into new and innova tive business ideas throughout the re gion.
In this way, they are promoting start-ups as cooperation partners for
SMEs and also establishing a dynamic transformation spirit in Main
Franconia. The mix of skilled minds, research institutions, and the
players who develop business models from ideas is crucial to providing
changes in the process of transforming our economic region – regardless
of the industry in question -–with what they need: innovative ideas and
people who want to put them into practice.
The fact is, Main Franconia is ideally positioned for meeting
whatever the future may bring. For despite all the uncertainties that
a trans formation entails, one thing must not be forgotten in the end:
Trans formation is an opportunity for the future, you just have to seize it.
