Dieter Kiessling was born in Munster in<br />
1957, and lives in Dusseldorf and Karlsruhe.<br />
He studied at the Kunstakademie, Munster,<br />
from 1978 to 1986. He was visiting professor<br />
at the Bremen Academy of Art in 1997,<br />
and in the same year was appointed Professor<br />
of Media Art at the State Academy of<br />
Design, Karlsruhe.<br />
