XII. Compensation<br />

2. When a per diem substitute teacher achieves long-term status there shall<br />

be no deduction from the long-term substitute salary on account <strong>of</strong> a difference<br />

between the daily salary rates <strong>of</strong> the two (2) classifications.<br />

3. If schools are closed by administrative action, a per diem substitute who<br />

has been assigned for that day shall be paid.<br />

H. Other compensation terms for Members <strong>of</strong> the Pr<strong>of</strong>essional/technical<br />

Bargaining Unit<br />

1. An employee who is assigned to a <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> vehicle and who is<br />

required, because <strong>of</strong> a vehicle breakdown, to remain with the vehicle beyond<br />

his/her shift, shall be compensated for any time beyond his/her regular shift. The<br />

employee shall report to his/her supervisor as soon as possible.<br />

2. All employees in the bargaining unit whose salary is equal to or less than<br />

fifty thousand three hundred ninety two dollars ($50,392) per year effective<br />

January 19, 2010 shall be eligible for overtime compensation at the rate <strong>of</strong> time<br />

and one half (1½) for time worked in excess <strong>of</strong> forty (40) hours in any one (1)<br />

week or eight (8) hours in any one (1) day, and for straight time for time worked<br />

between the normal work week and forty (40) hours, except for employees<br />

assigned a ten (10) hour/four (4) day per week schedule, who shall be eligible<br />

for time and one half (1½) for time worked in excess <strong>of</strong> forty (40) hours in any<br />

one (1) week.<br />

3. All employees in the bargaining unit earning more than the amount named<br />

in Section 2 above, but less than seventy four thousand eight hundred fifty eight<br />

dollars ($74,858) per year effective January 19, 2010 shall, earn overtime as<br />

above based on the hourly rate <strong>of</strong> an employee earning the amount named in<br />

paragraph 2.<br />

The Parties agree that the rates set forth in Article XII, Section H 2 & 3<br />

will be increased in accordance with any across the board raise contained in the<br />

agreement.<br />

4. All employees in the bargaining unit earning in excess <strong>of</strong> the higher<br />

amount named in Paragraph 3 shall be eligible to earn compensatory time.<br />

Compensatory time shall be earned hour for hour up to forty (40) hours per<br />

week and one and one-half (1½) hours for each compensatory hour earned in<br />

excess <strong>of</strong> forty (40) hours.<br />

5. There shall be no pyramiding <strong>of</strong> overtime rates under any section <strong>of</strong> this<br />

Article.<br />

6. An employee who works on a scheduled <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> holiday shall be<br />

paid at time and one half (l½) <strong>of</strong> his/her regular hourly rate for all hours worked<br />

on such day, in addition to the holiday pay for which the employee is eligible.<br />

7. An employee called to work on other than regular work on other than<br />

regular hours shall be guaranteed at least two (2) hours work or pay in lieu<br />

there<strong>of</strong> for any period less than two (2) hours; four (4) hours work or pay in lieu<br />

there<strong>of</strong> for any period more than two (2) hours and less than four (4) hours; six<br />

(6) hours work or pay in lieu there<strong>of</strong> for any period more than four (4) hours<br />

and less than six (6) hours. However, employees earning in excess <strong>of</strong> the higher<br />
