amount named in paragraph 2 <strong>of</strong> this Section shall receive compensatory time.<br />

8. A ten (10) month employee who is required to work on a day the schools<br />

are closed because <strong>of</strong> inclement weather shall be paid at straight time for all<br />

hours worked on such day in addition to his/her regular salary or shall receive a<br />

compensatory day.<br />

9. The time worked on such day shall be included as time worked for purposes<br />

<strong>of</strong> computing time and one half (1½) after forty (40) hours in any week in<br />

which such day may occur. The difference, if any, between such time worked on<br />

such day and the normal work day <strong>of</strong> such employee shall be included as time<br />

worked for purposes <strong>of</strong> computing time and one half (1½) after forty (40) hours<br />

in any week in which such day may occur.<br />

10. An employee who is not required to work on a day the schools are closed<br />

because <strong>of</strong> inclement weather shall receive his/her regular salary for such day.<br />

Such day not worked shall be included as time worked for purposes <strong>of</strong> computing<br />

time and one half (1½) after forty (40) hours in any week in which such day<br />

may occur.<br />

11. If a snow day falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day <strong>of</strong>f, then<br />

such employee shall not be paid for such day, and such day shall not be included<br />

as time worked for the purposes <strong>of</strong> computing overtime.<br />

12. A foreman who is assigned to work scheduled overtime on Saturday or<br />

Sunday shall receive guaranteed four (4) hours <strong>of</strong> overtime pay; except for individuals<br />

assigned to the ten (10) hour/four (4) day per week schedule, who are<br />

governed by the side letter that sets forth terms and conditions for the ten (10)<br />

hour/four (4) day per week schedule.<br />

13. An employee’s regularly scheduled day <strong>of</strong>f shall not be included as time<br />

worked for the purposes <strong>of</strong> computing overtime.<br />

14. The tool-carrying allowance presently payable to Maintenance Department<br />

employees and Building Construction Inspectors shall be twelve dollars<br />

($12.00) per month for each month <strong>of</strong> active employment.<br />

I. Other compensation terms for Members <strong>of</strong> the comprehensive early learning<br />

center Bargaining Unit<br />

1. An employee who is required to work beyond his/her regular workday,<br />

with authorization <strong>of</strong> the appropriate administrator, shall be paid his/her<br />

straight time rate for all hours worked beyond thirty-five (35) hours and up to<br />

forty (40) hours per week.<br />

2. Exclusive <strong>of</strong> Lead <strong>Teachers</strong> and Social Workers’ staff, employees shall be<br />

paid at the rate <strong>of</strong> time and one half (1½) <strong>of</strong> their regular hourly rate for the<br />

time spent at any evening meeting beyond two (2) meetings in one (1) year.<br />

3. An employee who is required to use part or all <strong>of</strong> his/her regular daily<br />

break for staff meetings or for emergency situations shall be entitled to compensatory<br />

time for the time used in such cases.<br />

4. Such compensatory time shall be taken in individual blocks equal to the<br />

break time lost.<br />
