We produce in house
Touratech is strengthening its presence in Germany, with production, assembly and sales based in Niedereschach
now and in the future. It is a key element of our company‘s philosophy to be able to continue to
guarantee our customers quality “Made in Germany”.
Because not every part can be produced directly at Touratech,
we still need sub-suppliers. These are also predominantly
based in the region.
Ideas for new products evolve out of suggestions from our
customers, from our race team or from our own experience.
Our development team then turns these ideas into new
parts. This is followed by an extensive test phase with
prototypes. When the last possible weakness has been
eliminated, production can start in Niedereschach.
The parts are cut by laser from aluminium sheets
and polycarbonate panels, e.g. the handlebar
bracket for the Garmin GPSMap 278 navigation
system. The very sharp-edged metal parts
are then ground smooth, i.e. they rotate in a
drum with abrasive media until all the edges
have been rounded. The parts prepared in
this way are then given their required form
on the bending presses. The next station for
the raw parts is the surface treatment. For the
aluminium bracket this means anodising.
