Charley Boorman, who went
exploring the world with Ewan Mc-
Gregor in “Long way round” and
“Long way down” also came along
and obviously enjoyed the Travel
Event tremendously despite the bad
weather.
Meanwhile, contenders in the
BMW GS Challenge competed for
points and a ticket to South Africa
where the BMW GS Trophy was
held in autumn 2010. Riders were
faced with challenges that called for
skill and stamina over speed. The
wet weather ensured an extra boost
of adrenaline for the participants in
many of the trials.
This year’s Travel Event and GS
Challenge will be held in Niedereschach/Germany
over the weekend
of 27-29 May 2011. It’s rumoured
that the weather will be a
lot better this time round.
