The ultra-compact Satellite-Emergency-Messenger at an amazing price!
This unit is a highly-compact, easy-to-use and autonomous GPS Satellite Messenger
Which uses the Globalstar satellite system for data upload. So it work independently
from the mobile phone network and almost anywhere on earth.
The unit works with standard Lithium batteries (size AAA).
The SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger features the following functions:
-Check-In: Upload of a pre-defined message to your contat persons, i.e. ”I am
alright, everything is O.K.” (Up to 10 mobile phone no.s or e-mail contacts can be
sepcified).
- Help function: Using this button you transmit a help message like “I need help”
to your contact person (Up to 10 mobile phone no.s or e-mail contacts can be
sepcified).
- OK function. Confirm a position request of a contact person with the OK button.
- SOS: Upload an emergency call with your position to the International GEOS
Emergency Response Centre.
- Tracking funktion: Activate a tracking mode with a position upload every 10
minutes. Thus your traveling route can be
monitored through Google Earth®.
In order to use these functions it is obligate to register for the corresponding service at
www.findmespot.com. These are the corresponding costs:
- BASIC SERVICE: 99,- €/year with the functions Check-In, SOS 9-1-1 and Help
- GEOS SEARCH & RESCUE: 11,- €/year (this requires to book this function at first registration!). In this
case costs for worldwide Search- and Rescue activities are covered up to an extent of 100.000,- US$. (
(This is insured through Lloyd’s of London or a subcontractor.)
- TRACKING function: 39,- €/year. This is an add-on to the basic service for a remote tracking of your
tavel activities.
