The sporty single cylinder bikes of the G 650 series
offer a wide range of uses. As a result, the bikes are
often used with bike trousers over the boots.
Under certain circumstances, the temperature of
the exhaust system in the joining area between the
manifold and the end muffler can become so high
that it is very unpleasant for the left leg or items of
clothing may be damaged. To ensure your enjoyment
from riding the G 650 X is not spoilt by such
a silly irritation, we are offering a small but highly
effective heat shield plate precisely for this area.

Aluminium exhaust heat shield
BMW G 650 X Challenge/Country/Moto
The heat shield is made from anodized aluminium.
This means it is lighter the BMW original, while
retaining its robustness. It fits slickly into the overall
appearance of the G 650 X. Not only does it
provide heat protection, it also provides protection
of endangered points of the exhaust system against
thrown up stones or when a crash occurs. And the
manifold shield also protects the lambda probe.
