In view of the 1:500.000 scale, these Russian military maps are amazingly detailed with good topographical
data. As the maps are already quite old, the road network is not up-to-date. The map labelling is
in Cyrillic, but the key and big towns are in Latin script too. Otherwise, a TTQV utility will transcribe the
Cyrillic alphabet letter by letter.
