Prof. Dr. Alexander Redlein
TU Wien
Thank you Sinan. Welcome to this afternoon session. It is about
facility management and what is the future of facility
management. I myself, I am a professor at Technical University
Wien and we covered now two studies about the Turkish market
but that was also about the German, the Austrian market, the
Bulgarian market. That is very interesting to be now here and
to have this podium here. Several years ago, it is now three
years ago, that there was a European standard issue about
facility management. And the standard includes four main steps.
What facility management is about. On one hand, it is about
the core business and to define the demand of the services that
is needed that the core business is prospering. Secondly, to
source the services and the third thing is to perform the services,
and the fourth thing is to control it. And there are a lot of
discussions going on in Europe what is now the facility manager,
what is the facility service provider, what other different roles,
do we have to have any facility managers within the companies
or can we outsource everything and this would be the best
solution. Let's have a little bit of clue on this, on the discussion
Mustafa K›z›lay
IBM Türk, Bina ‹dari Hiz. ve Güvenlik Müdürü
Efendim merhaba. ‹smim Mustafa K›z›lay. IBM Türk Limited
fiirketi'nde bina yönetimi ve güvenlikten sorumlu yöneticiyim.
fiimdi, bina yönetimi, yani facility management derken bina
yönetimi olarak çeviriyorum. Bilmiyorum, sizin kulakl›¤›n›za nas›l
geliyor, ingilizce dinleyenlere. 1.5-2 sene kadar önce IBM flirketi
bir kavram att› ortaya. Bu kavram ak›ll› kdünya kavram›yd›. Smart
World kavram›.
Gayrimenkul Zirvesi 10
today. We have two mainly internal facility managers here on
the podium and we have two mainly service providers, so we
have quite a nice picture about this area. So my first question
is, how is the situation now in Turkey? We may start with the
facility manager, Mustafa, can you give us a little bit clue about
your company and afterwards about this question.
