Additive Mix Tank Agitator Containment Dikes ENC-44-5000: Portable Containment Dike ENC-44-5000A: Sodium Lignosulfonate Portable Containment Dike 8.2 ADDITIVE SYSTEM INSTRUMENTATION Table 8-1 summarizes, by function, all of the instrumentation in the Additive System. 8.3 ADDITIVE SYSTEM CONTROL PHILOSOPHY Silo 3 material is conditioned with an aqueous mixture of two additives: ferrous sulfate, to reduce certain metals (e.g., chromium) to less-toxic valence states (FEMP 2003f); and sodium lignosulfonate, to reduce the dispersability of the material (Jenike and Johanson, 2002). 8-1 000226
