structi<strong>on</strong>). The width overall of this base is 30 inches. It is regularly<br />

built with cabinet base ends but may be built with full refrigerator ends<br />

at an additi<strong>on</strong>al price if so specified.<br />

The overall dimensi<strong>on</strong>s of the standard recessed ice cream cabinet are<br />

29 inches high, 28^ inches deep from fr<strong>on</strong>t to back and 46^ inches l<strong>on</strong>g.<br />

A standard 30-gall<strong>on</strong> capacity recessed ice cream cabinet as <str<strong>on</strong>g>illustrated</str<strong>on</strong>g>,<br />

occupies the same space as is required for three regular standard door<br />

compartments.<br />

If squat cans are used the overall width of the base is 32 inches and<br />

the overall dimensi<strong>on</strong>s of the cabinet are: Height, 29 inches; depth, 30^<br />

inches; length, 49>^ inches.<br />

The following specificati<strong>on</strong>s have been extracted, through<br />

the courtesy of the manufacturer, from the literature of The<br />

Liquid Carb<strong>on</strong>ic Corporati<strong>on</strong>, Chicago, Illinois:<br />

UNIVERSAL MECHANICOLD SODA FOUNTAIN.<br />

Fig. 206 is a marble c<strong>on</strong>structed cooler box, insulated throughout with<br />

pure <strong>cork</strong>board. The top capping is <strong>on</strong>e piece 18-gauge nickel silver with<br />

a beaded or rolled edge.<br />

Two boilers and a c<strong>on</strong>trol valve are supplied and a Y^ h.p. Frigidaire<br />

compressor is required to operate.<br />

The box has two openings for bulk ice cream storage. Each opening<br />

is equipped with a double hinged black insulating cover and is capable of<br />

holding two 5-gall<strong>on</strong> bulk ice cream cans. This gives a capacity of four<br />

S-gall<strong>on</strong> cans of bulk ice cream or 20 gall<strong>on</strong>s, all of which is maintained<br />

at a uniform temperature from the top to the bottom of the cans.<br />

The extreme left hand opening is a package storage compartment<br />

which has a storage capacity of 10 gall<strong>on</strong>s with an insulating cover the<br />

same as those over the bulk ice cream compartments. It is maintained at<br />

a special low temperature, around zero to insure proper storage for package<br />

ice cream.<br />
