cement to two parts clean sharp sand, the sec<strong>on</strong>d coat brought<br />

to a float finish and scored in suitable squares to reduce and c<strong>on</strong>fine<br />

checking to such score marks.<br />

Where menti<strong>on</strong>ed hereinbefore for ceiling areas, the c<strong>on</strong>tractor<br />

shall furnish and apply by hand with trowel to the exposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>insulati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

surfaces <strong>on</strong>e uniform coat of Plastic Mastic Primer, mixed <strong>on</strong>e<br />

bag asbestos fibre to <strong>on</strong>e drum approved asphalt emulsi<strong>on</strong>. Over this<br />

coat the c<strong>on</strong>tractor shall then furnish and apply a uniform coat of<br />

Plastic Mastic Finish, mixed <strong>on</strong>e bag asbestos fibre and three bags<br />

hard silica grits to <strong>on</strong>e drum approved asphalt emulsi<strong>on</strong>, such finish<br />

troweled to as smooth a surface as the material will permit and left<br />

uiiscored. The c<strong>on</strong>tractor may furnish Pure <str<strong>on</strong>g>Cork</str<strong>on</strong>g>board for the<br />

sec<strong>on</strong>d layer <strong>on</strong> the ceiling having an asphalt mastic finish approximately<br />

Ys" thick ir<strong>on</strong>ed <strong>on</strong> at the factory, in which case all mastic<br />

joints in the finished work shall then be filled in with suitable Plastic<br />

Mastic material and thoroughly sealed in approved manner.<br />

GENERAL.<br />

Owners shall assume all risk of any damage to, or destructi<strong>on</strong><br />

or loss of, all goods furnished whether by fire or otherwise<br />

after they, or any part of them, shall have been delivered <strong>on</strong> or<br />

about owner's premises, though the erecti<strong>on</strong> or installati<strong>on</strong> of the<br />

same has not been begun or <str<strong>on</strong>g>complete</str<strong>on</strong>g>d by the c<strong>on</strong>tractor. Owner<br />

will have building in readiness and all surfaces left in proper c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>,<br />

so that the work <strong>on</strong>ce begun may be pushed to completi<strong>on</strong><br />

without delays. Owner will supply satisfactory storage room under<br />

cover and protecti<strong>on</strong> at point of erecti<strong>on</strong> for the materials called for,<br />

allow the c<strong>on</strong>tractor the use of elevator and such additi<strong>on</strong>al facili-<br />

ties as may be available for handling materials, and shall furnish<br />

all scaflEolding, electric current, artificial light, heat and water re-<br />

quired. It is understood that there is a side track at the building so<br />

that materials shipped in carlots need not be drayed by the c<strong>on</strong>-<br />

tractor, but it is understood that the c<strong>on</strong>tractor shall handle all his<br />

own materials at the building.
