2.3.5 Six-Court Halls<br />

The minimum size for a six-court sports hall is 34 metre long, 27 metre wide <strong>and</strong> has a clear ceiling<br />

height of 9.0 metre. The hall covers an overall area 888 square metre.<br />

In a six-court hall it would be possible to house the following courts:<br />

• Six badminton courts<br />

• One basketball court<br />

• Eight cricket nets<br />

• Two gymnastic fl oors<br />

• One indoor hockey pitch<br />

• Two judo fl oors<br />

• One netball court<br />

• Eight trampolines<br />

• Six table tennis tables<br />

2.3.6 Eight-Court Halls<br />

The minimum size for an eight-court sports hall is 37 metre long, 34.5 metre wide <strong>and</strong> has a clear<br />

ceiling height of 9.1 metre. The hall covers an overall area 1277 square metre. In an eight-court hall it<br />

would be possible to house the following courts:<br />

• Eight badminton courts<br />

• Two basketball courts<br />

• Nine cricket nets<br />

• Four gymnastic fl oors<br />

• Two indoor hockey pitches<br />

• Four judo fl oors<br />

• Two netball courts<br />

• Twelve trampolines<br />

• Ten table tennis tables<br />

• Two volleyball courts<br />
