NON-SPORTING USES<br />
Social or commercial activities need to be taken into consideration but care should, however be taken<br />
to ensure that sporting requirements are not overly compromised when a general purpose fl oor fi nish is<br />
used. Typical non-sporting uses of the multi-purpose sports halls may be as follows:<br />

CONSTRUCTION COSTS<br />
The cost of construction of the various sports fl oors have to be seriously considered when deciding on<br />
the type of sports fl oor. For national <strong>and</strong> international competitions the type of fl oor required would in all<br />
likelihood take precedence over the cost of the fl oor.<br />
MAINTENANCE<br />
It is important that the fl oor is hygienic <strong>and</strong> free from dust <strong>and</strong> vapour. In addition it must be resistant<br />
to abrasion <strong>and</strong> be easy to clean.<br />
