Netball<br />

• The sub-surface drainage system is to be connected to a storm water system to ensure<br />

proper drainage.<br />

• A 250 micron damp proof layer is to be installed below a 125 mm thick (20 Mega Pascal<br />

design strength) concrete surface bed fi nished smooth to ensure proper adhesion.<br />

• Sealers <strong>and</strong> curing agents should not be used since these may affect the adhesion of the<br />

artifi cial grass surface.<br />

• All concrete surfaces need to be dry <strong>and</strong> dust free prior to the placement of the fi eld<br />

surface.<br />

• A 25 mm thick cement levelling screed needs to be placed to true <strong>and</strong> smooth levels.<br />

• Any level defects are to be fi lled in to ensure a smooth <strong>and</strong> even fi nish. Any projections will<br />

damage the artifi cial fi eld surface when subjected to use.<br />

• A number of manufacturer’s artifi cial synthetic surfaces are available. The surfaces have<br />

to be applied strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. (See Drawing<br />
