/Sri Bhagavata, which is devoted to Vishmi. This is devoted to<br />

the worship of the $aktis.<br />

DEVI MAHATMYA. 'The greatness of Devi/ A poem<br />

of 700 verses, which celebrates the triumphs of Devi over<br />

various Asuras. It is the text-book of the worshippers of<br />

Devi, and is read daily in her temples. It is an episode of the<br />

Marka?i$eya Puraraa, and is also called Chamftpa&a.<br />
