Costa Rica’s Pacific coast –
perfect sailing waters
The seas surrounding Costa Rica are the perfect place
to go sailing, and the legendary Sea Cloud is the perfect
yacht to sail them. Her course leads you to the widely
spread national parks, ensuring that you arrive completely
refreshed and ready to begin new adventures on land.
granada – a UneSCo world Heritage Site
With around 400 islands, Lake Nicaragua is the second
largest lake in Latin America. On its banks lies the colonial
town of Granada. The many sights of the country’s oldest
city can be easily discovered on foot. With all its magnificent
Spanish facades, cathedrals and monasteries,
the old town, which surrounds a beautifully designed
park, is a romantic and fabulously restored treasure.
Unique national parks and gardens
Explore the narrow pathways through the rainforest of the
Manuel Antonio National Park and discover its menagerie
of indigenous animals. Or take a boat trip through
the Palo Verde National Park to discover the water birds
nestling between the mangroves. The Pura Vida Gardens
welcome visitors with a luscious sea of tropical flowers
and orchids, while the magnificent beaches on the Islas
Tortugas complete the country’s diverse landscape.
Also on board: biologist Brigitte Fugger
Brigitte Fugger, marine biologist, ecologist, and ornithologist,
can tell you everything there is to know about the
animal world. She has worked as a lecturer in tropical
ecology, has written several nature guides and leads
research trips on all of the world‘s continents.
Depending upon the circumstances, it is possible that another lecturer will be on board
for this trip.
