Cities dedicated to fine living, chic coastlines and Balearic charm:
Málaga – Nice
Spring in the Balearics –
Ibiza and Mallorca
A wild and rugged coastline and roughly 60 sandy bays
line the outskirts of the island of Ibiza, a place where the
jet-set crowd love to indulge until the early hours. But
nature lovers can also find peace and quiet on the island.
The gentle, hilly centre of the island is characterised by
its romantic setting and traditional village way of life. The
entire island became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in
1999. Impressive mountains dominate the landscape to
the west on Ibiza’s larger sibling Mallorca. Its picturesque
capital Palma is an elegant metropolis and each section
of coastline has its own unique admirers.
Barcelona – art, architecture
and lifestyle
Barcelona is a city of contrasts and fascinates with its diversity.
Some view Barcelona as the capital of the Catalan
Art-Nouveau movement thanks to its figurehead Gaudí,
while others seek out medieval romance in the Barrio
Gótico. Many visitors wax lyrical about the elegance of
the boulevards and the shoppers’ paradise, while others
are swept away by the artistic treasures of the Picasso
Museum or the beauty of the Palau de la Música.
St Tropez on the Côte d‘Azur
In the 19th century, artists discovered this picturesque
fishing town and were inspired by its beauty. They were
soon followed by nobility and the wealthy, but St Tropez
only found international fame as a “playground for the
rich and the beautiful” around 50 years ago. Its wild years
may be over but what remains are romantic passageways,
elegant promenades, splendid beach clubs, luxury
yachts from all over the world, and the jet-set crowd.
