Take a Spring journey into the historical heart and modern soul of the
Netherlands and Belgium: Cologne – Amsterdam
Two artists, one passion for music
Two young artists will transform the lounge of the
RiveR Cloud ii into a private concert hall. Silke
Willmann, a passionate soprano, focuses on song,
oratorios and operas. Pianist Naomi Imai, who has a
scholarship at the Hamburg University of Music, will
perform solo pieces and chamber music.
Depending upon the circumstances, it is possible that other artists will be on
board for this trip.
A picturesque journey along the Maas
The banks of the Maas river are delightful, dotted with
many charming villages. In Maastricht, one of the oldest
settlements in the Netherlands, the river is suddenly
flanked by two beautiful city panoramas. Our trip to this
university town will be a first for the RiveR Cloud ii.
World-class museums
The Kröller-Müller Museum in De Hoge Veluwe National
Park houses the world’s second largest Van Gogh collection
along with numerous works from the early modern
period. The Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht brings
together pieces from a wide range of artistic eras under
a modern roof designed by the famous Italian architect
Aldo Rossi.
Antwerp’s Cathedral of Our Lady
The cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a masterpiece
of Brabantian architecture. Rubens and van
Dyck created some of the paintings that can be seen
in the cathedral’s interior. Another highlight: This Gothic
place of worship boasts two separate organs. The
organist will receive the guests of the RiveR Cloud ii in
a private concert and offer an insight into the workings of
the two instruments.
