ARTICLE 54 SPECIAL PAY PRACTICES<br />

Section 1. Night Shift Differential<br />

Evening shift employees shall receive a premium of one-dollar ($1.00) per hour. The<br />

evening shift is a shift at least five-eighths of which falls between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.<br />

Night shift employees shall receive a premium of one-dollar ($1.00) per hour. The night<br />

shift is a shift at least five-eighths of which falls between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 8:00<br />

a.m.<br />

Effective July 1, 2000, <strong>Social</strong> <strong>Workers</strong> and <strong>Social</strong> Worker Trainees in Community and<br />

Senior Services assigned to the evening or night shift for the emergency roll out program<br />

will receive a bonus of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per pay period. This bonus will<br />

terminate September 30, 2011.<br />

Section 2. Call Back<br />

Whenever an employee is unexpectedly ordered by his Department Head or designated<br />

management representative to return to work following the termination of his normal work<br />

shift and departure from his work location, the employee shall receive a payment of four<br />

hours pay at the rate of time and one-half of the employee's regular rate of pay. Work<br />

performed in excess of four hours will be compensated for in accordance with the<br />

provisions of Article 8, Overtime.<br />

If an employee should complete work required, leave the work location, and subsequently<br />

be recalled during the four-hour period being compensated for as a result of the initial call
