When you click Finish, the following nodes are added to the Server Manager tree.<br />

Define the <strong>SAS</strong> Replication Administrator in the Metadata<br />

When you run a promotion job, you run it as the <strong>SAS</strong> Replication Administrator.<br />

Because the replication administrator must be able to start a workspace server on the<br />

source machine and a <strong>SAS</strong>/CONNECT server on the target machine, this user must<br />

have a total of three logins:<br />

3 one for the administration machine<br />

3 one for the source machine<br />

3 one for the target machine<br />

To define this user and the user’s three logins, follow these directions:<br />

1 Right-click User Manager and select New s User. The New User Properties<br />

dialog box appears.<br />

2 On the General tab, enter <strong>SAS</strong> Replication Administrator in the Name text<br />

box.<br />

3 Select the Logins tab.<br />

4 Define a login for the user sasrpadm.<br />

a Click New to bring up the New Login Properties dialog box.<br />

b Enter the user ID for the sasrpadm account in the User ID field. On Windows<br />

systems, this ID must be qualified with a domain name or a machine name.<br />

c Use the Authentication Domain list box to clear the associated text field.<br />

d Click OK.<br />

5 Define a login using the credentials for the srcadmin account (Windows) or the sas<br />

account (UNIX) on the source machine. Include a password, and set the<br />

Authentication Domain to ReplicationSourceAuth.<br />

6 Define a login using the credentials for the sasadm account (Windows) or the sas<br />

account (UNIX) on the target machine. Include a password, and set the<br />

Authentication Domain to ReplicationTargetAuth. (This login needs to<br />

contain information about an unrestricted user.)<br />

7 Click OK in the New User Properties dialog box.<br />

At the end of this step, you have created the necessary infrastructure and are ready<br />

to run the promotion wizard to create the promotion job.
