Location of Configuration Files for SAS Servers
On server-tier machines that host the SAS Metadata Server, the configuration files
for SAS servers are located in the following path:
sas-config-dir\Lev1\SASMain\
On server-tier machines that do not host the SAS Metadata Server, the configuration
files for SAS servers are located in the following path:
sas-config-dir\Lev1\SASApp\
Within this path, the configuration files for specific SAS servers are contained in
subdirectories that correspond to each server.
The SASMain or SASApp directory also contains a file called sasv9.cfg, which
contains SAS system options that are shared by the SAS Metadata Server, SAS
Workspace Servers, SAS OLAP Servers, and SAS Stored Process Servers. To
incorporate these shared options, the configuration files for the metadata server, OLAP
servers, and stored process servers call sasv9.cfg. In turn, sasv9.cfg calls a
configuration file that is located in the SAS installation directory.
By default, the SAS Workspace Server, the SAS/CONNECT Server, and the SAS
Data Step Batch Server do not have their own configuration files. Instead, they directly
use the options contained in sasv9.cfg.
The following table provides the names and locations of configuration files for servers.
Note: For servers that are installed on a machine other than the machine that hosts
the SAS Metadata Server, replace SASMain with SASApp in the directory paths. R
