242 Users R Appendix 1 User Role Administrative User (srcadmin) Necessary only if you will be promoting metadata from a source to a target machine, this user must set up on the source machine. It needs to be authenticated by the source machine’s authentication provider and needs full access to the MetadataRepositories and ReplicationWorkArea directories. SAS Replication Administrator (sasrpadm) SAS Forecast Server Administrative User (fsadm) Necessary only if you will be promoting metadata from a source to a target machine, this user must be set up on the administration machine, for which it will be the administrator. Necessary only if you are using SAS Forecast Server, this user must be able to authenticate to the SAS Metadata Server machine and the SAS Workspace Server machine. (These could be either the same machine or different machines.) The user is needed to perform post-installation tasks. For more information, see the SAS Forecast Server Administrator’s Guide.

Thus, each server listens on a particular port or ports for incoming requests. The SAS Configuration Wizard configures the servers to use a standard set of ports—unless you tell it to do otherwise. The default port assignments are shown in the following figure. 243
