FRONT FORK ADJUSTMENT<br />

FRONT FORK OIL CHANGE<br />

•Fork oil leakage can cause loss of stability<br />

and safe handling. Have any problem corrected<br />

before operating the motorcycle.<br />

support the motorcycle so there is<br />

no danger of it falling over.<br />

1. Elevate the front wheel by placing a suitable<br />

stand under the engine.<br />

2. Remove:<br />

valve cap (left)<br />

caps<br />

NOTE:<br />

Keep the valve open by pressing it for several<br />

seconds so that the air can be let out of the<br />

inner tube.<br />

3. Loosen:<br />

bolts (steeringcrown)<br />

4. Remove:<br />

bolts<br />

Use the Front Fork Cap Socket (YM-<br />

01104).<br />

*Collars<br />

5. Place a receptaclesunder the drain screws.<br />

6. Remove:<br />

screws<br />

Drain the fork oil.<br />

Do not allow any oil to contact the disc brake<br />

components. If oil is discovered, be sure to<br />

remove it, otherwise diminished braking capacity<br />

and damage to the rubber components of<br />

the brake assembly will occur.<br />

7. Inspect:<br />

(capbolt) (drain screw)<br />

Wear/Damage Replace.<br />
