THROTTLE CABLE CYLINDER<br />

Second step:<br />

a. Loosen the locknut (carburetor side).<br />

b. Turn the adjuster (carburetor side) counterclockwise<br />

a little.<br />

c. Turn adjuster (throttle grip side) clockwise<br />

so that the free play (throttle grip) is<br />

within 4 - 7 mm (0.16- 0.28 in).<br />

d. Check to see if throttle valve operates at<br />

full open.<br />

If not, repeat steps a-d.<br />

e. Tighten locknut (carburetor side).<br />

f. Check to see if throttle valve operates at<br />

full open or full closed.<br />

Throttle valve fails to operate at full open<br />

or full closed Perform the next step.<br />

Third step:<br />

to see if throttle cable installation<br />

iscorrect.<br />

NOTE:<br />

Be sure that the silver throttle cable is positioned<br />

opposite the adjusters.<br />

Check the position of the control cable<br />

sliders in the throttle cable cylinder.<br />

NOTE:<br />

sure the open side slider (silver cable side)<br />

falls between the three adjustment marks on<br />

the carburetor side.<br />

sure the closed side slider falls between<br />

the two adjustment marks on the throttle<br />

grip side.<br />

the fall outside the adjustment<br />

marks then the throttle must be<br />

replaced.<br />
