REAR WHEEL<br />

REMOVAL<br />

1. Place the motorcycle on its centerstand.<br />

2. Remove:<br />

*Cotter pin<br />

*Axle nut<br />

Washer<br />

3. Remove:<br />

Rear caliper<br />

Tension bar<br />

NOTE:<br />

Do not depress the brake pedal when the wheel is<br />

off the motorcycle as the brake pads will be<br />

forced.<br />

4. Loosen:<br />

Pinch bolt (rear axle)<br />

5. Remove:<br />

Rear axle<br />

While supporting the brake caliper, pull<br />

out the rear axle.<br />

Rear wheel<br />

Move the wheel to the right side to separate<br />

it from the final gear case.<br />

INSPECTION<br />

Inspect:<br />

*Tire<br />

Rear axle<br />

Wheel<br />

Wheel bearings<br />

Brake disc<br />

Refer to "FRONT WHEEL - INSPEC-<br />

TION" section.<br />

2. Measure:<br />

Wheel<br />

Refer to "FRONT WHEEL - INSPEC-<br />

TION" section.<br />

3. Check:<br />

Wheel balance<br />

Refer t o "FRONT WHEEL - INSPEC-<br />

TION" section.
