Bearing Thickness "f" = 13.00 mm<br />

Example:<br />

1) If gear case is marked "45.52" . . . "c" is<br />

45.52.<br />

If ring gear bearing housing is marked<br />

"35" . . . "d" is 0.35 + 3 = 3.35.<br />

3 ) I f ring gear is marked . . . is<br />

35.40 + 0.01 = 35.41.<br />

4)"f" is 13.00.<br />

45.52 + 3.35 - (35.41 + 13.00)<br />

48.87 - (48.41)<br />

= 0.46<br />

shim thickness is 0.46 mm.<br />

Shim sizes are supplied in following thickness:<br />

Thickness (mm)<br />

0.25 0.30 0.35<br />

0.40 0.45 0.50<br />

Because shims can only be selected in 0.05<br />

mm increments, round off hundredths<br />

digit and select appropriate
