REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ADJUSTMENT<br />

By the following adjustment steps.<br />

Air pressure adjustment steps:<br />

Remove the valve cap.<br />

the air check gauge , check and<br />

adjust the air pressure.<br />

Stiffer Increase the air pressure.<br />

(Use an air pump or pressurized air<br />

supply.)<br />

Softer Decrease the air pressure.<br />

(Release the air by pushing the<br />

valve.)<br />

Standard Air Pressure:<br />

39.2 kPa (0.4 kg/cm², 5.7 psi)<br />

<strong>Max</strong>imum Air Pressure:<br />

98.1 kPa (1.0 kg/cm², 14.2 psi)<br />

Never exceed the maximum pressure, or oil<br />

seal damage may occur.<br />

NOTE:<br />

The spring preload and damping of the rear<br />

shock absorbers can be adjusted to suit rider's<br />

preference, weight, and the course condition.<br />

Always adjust rear shock absorber preload and<br />

damping to the same setting. Uneven adjustment<br />

can cause poor handling and loss of stability.<br />
