through quite specific animated lenses, which are thus becoming an important
vehicle to the future demands and challenges in education, science
and cultural studies.
This paper will try to show the importance of bioethics in general, but
also expose the popular culture products, which are becoming the main
source of information about the world that surrounds us. These products
shape our world and the way we see and form it (as in our own cognitive
blueprints, and in the actions we commence versus the world every time
we interfere with our own reality).

POBJEDA »LEPTIR«
Djelo Skafander i leptir jedno je od rijetkih svjedočanstva »sa granica
života«, u kojemu se, kroz jedan jednostavan, šarmantan i nadasve pristupačan
stil, nadaje mnoštvo filozofskih problema ujedinjenih, između ostalog,
pod zajedničkim nazivkom filozofije egzistencijalizma. Jean-Dominique
Bauby, autor i protagonist, priča nam priču u iščekivanju smrti, priču
koja, iako često tragična i turobna, uvijek ostaje pozitivna. U tom bismo
smislu djelo mogli promatrati kao pobjedu leptirâ, tj. duha nad skafanderom,
odnosno tijelom; radi se zapravo o klasičnoj bioetičkoj temi dostojanstvenog
života i isto takve smrti, koju ćemo nastojati pobliže promotriti iz
perspektive subjekta.
VICTORY OF “BUTTERFLIES”
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is one of the few examples of literature
from the “brinks of life”, which, with its simple, charming and highly
accessible style, reveals plenty of philosophical problems united under the
notion of exsistentialist philosophy. Jean-Dominique Bauby, the author
and protagonist, tells his story anticipating death, a story which, though
often tragic and mournful, always remains positive. In this sense the work
can be seen as a victory of butterflies, i.e. the spirit over the diving bell,
