Rufus Neas has been moved from the Lyric
in Elkin, N. C. to manage the Dixie Theatre
in Scotland Neck, N. C. He said that Jack
Pardue is the new manager of the Lyric,
moving up from the assistant manager's post
at the Reeves.
Tip Tipton, manager of the Wil-Kin Theatre
Supply Co., Charlotte, told me that his
firm had installed Cycloramic screens at the
Weldon, N. C. Center and the Gastonia,
N. C. Carolina. The New Catawaba Theatre
at Hickory, N. C. has installed a new booth
and screen, he said. Wil-Kin has been selling
Green Spot orange drink machines right and
left and has installed them at the Durham,
N. C. Carolina: Statesville, N. C. Playhouse:
two at the Belmont Drive-In. Greenville,
S. C; Sky Way Drive-In, Columbia, S. C;
the Sharon Drive-In, Abbeville, S. C; Foster's
Drive-In, Kershaw, S. C. and the Midway
Theatre, Lancaster, S. C.
furnished by Southeastern Theatre Supply.
The new house will be opened soon.

navy and will report to
the Norfolk, Va. base
on December 5. He has
been associated with
Wil-Kin for the last 13
years. He will assume
his former naval
rating of commander.
