305-ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY. Prerequisite: Psychology 101, 201, 202, or<br />
203. A study of problems related to motivation, communication, organizational<br />
change, and styles of leadership.<br />
Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered as needed.<br />
310-INTRODUCTION TO COUNSELING. Prerequisite: Psychology 101, 201, 202,<br />
or 203. An introduction to the theory and practice of counseling. A number<br />
of theories and techniques are examined with emphasis placed on interactive<br />
learning and communication.<br />
Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered as needed.<br />
315-PSYCHOLOGY OF LEARNING AND MEMORY. Prerequisite: Psychology 101,<br />
201, 202, or 203. S tudents in this course examine the three major learning<br />
paradigms, classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and vicarious learning.<br />
Students also consider the principle models of memory, as well as factors affecting<br />
remembering and forgetting.<br />
Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered fall semester.<br />
324-TOPICS IN PSYCHOLOGY. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. A seminar<br />
course covering various areas in the psychological sciences from a biobehavioral<br />
perspective. The course is designed to allow in depth examination of the subject<br />
matter as well as spawn student interests in critical analysis, research, and<br />
application. Topics may include the psychology of women, biological basis of<br />
behavior, human sexuality, or advance topics in developmental child psychology.<br />
Three hours per week. Credit, three semester hours. Repeatable for credit.<br />
Offered as needed.<br />
325-PSYCHOLOGICAL MEASUREMENT AND TESTING. Prerequisite: Psychology<br />
101, 201, 202, or 203. A survey of tests and other measurement devices utilized<br />
by counselors and psychologists to measure such constructs as intelligence,<br />
personality, achievement, and aptitude. Emphasis is placed on test construction<br />
and interpretation.<br />
Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered as needed.<br />
334-INDEPENDENT STUDY IN PSYCHOLOGY. Prerequisite: Psychology major or<br />
minor. An independent study of a topic selected in consultation with a member<br />
of the Psychology faculty.<br />

401-PSYCHOLOGY OF LATE ADULTHOOD. Prerequisite: Psychology 101, 201, 202,<br />
or 203. A study of gerontology from the perspective of psychology, including<br />
topics such as reactions to physical, intellectual, social, and personality changes.<br />
