A student may return earlier than the original agreed return date, but the student must provide notice to the Dean of Student Development and the Registrar as soon as possible, keeping in mind applicable deadlines for advising, applying for financial aid, and registration. ALUMNI All students who have attended and/or graduated from Virginia Intermont automatically become alumni of the College. Upon signing up for our online alumni directory, alumni receive the Intermont Magazine and monthly email newsletters with campus updates, photos and sports schedules. Alumni also recieve access to our online job/internship bank through Career Services. Alumni also receive receive access to our online job/internship bank through Career Services and discounts on VI facility rentals and at area lodging during Alumni Weekend. Virginia Intermont has several social media accounts set up on Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube to keep all of our alumni updated onCampus happenings. Our alumni department staff is available to help alumni locate long lost friends, fill out transcript request forms, assist with the alumni directory, give campus tours and coordinate local and regional events. Special alumni activities include Alumni Weekend, participation in the Alumni Scholarship Program and presentation of the Virginia Intermont Award. Alumni are invited to VI athletic and regional social events such as those that have recently been held in Nashville, Tenn., Roanoke, Va., Grundy, Va., and Atlanta, Ga. All alumni are invited to attend the annual Virginia Intermont Classic horse Show in Lexington, Va., as well as the annual Golf Tournament, which coincides with Alumni Weekend. Alumni may serve as members of the Virginia Intermont Board of Trustees and support the College in many ways including donations to campus improvements and gifts to the Annual Fund.
