Sport Management Courses<br />

120-INTRODUCTION TO SPORT MANAGEMENT. An introductory course designed<br />

for sport management majors to overview management fundamentals and<br />

principles in the sport industry and athletics. An orientation of sport management<br />

career for students is formulated through this course.<br />

Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered fall semester.<br />

160-SPORT MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION SEMINAR. This course<br />

is designed to provide students with an opportunity to observe experienced<br />

managers/educators in the sport industry, athletics, health and physical education.<br />

Students will attend scheduled seminars. (Cross-listed as Physical Education 160)<br />

Two hours a week. Credit, one semester hour. Offered fall semester.<br />

200-FACILITY AND EVENTS MANAGEMENT IN SPORT AND RECREATION. This<br />

course provides students fundamental knowledge and skills in designing and<br />

managing sport and recreational facilities and organizing sport events.<br />

Three hours a week. Credit, three semester hours. Offered as needed.<br />
