Management<br />

<strong>The</strong> GP will demonstrate the ability to:<br />

• recognise the risk of inappropriate referrals as well<br />

as under-referral<br />

• operate an efficient system to audit and manage test<br />

results, which is understood by all staff and colleagues,<br />

and is transparent to the patient<br />

• critically appraise the organisational systems of the<br />

practice and establish processes <strong>for</strong> staff training and<br />

protocols <strong>for</strong> equipment, cleaning and sterilisation,<br />

sharps and waste disposal<br />

• recognise the impact of skin conditions, such as<br />

infections, on the population as a whole and take steps<br />

to reduce this.<br />
