Military Health Support Programme could still provide prepared and supported health capabilities and services<br />

for the defence and protection <strong>of</strong> South Africa as was required. The SAMHS remains committed to the full<br />

execution <strong>of</strong> its purpose and objectives, in spite <strong>of</strong> challenges with regard to the recruitment and retention <strong>of</strong><br />

healthcare practitioners and the replacement <strong>of</strong> obsolete equipment.<br />
