Joint <strong>Defence</strong> Publication<br />

Policy, Process and Procedures for the<br />

Development, Promulgation and Maintenance<br />

<strong>of</strong> the DOD HIV/Aids Programme<br />

The current DOD Instruction provides specic<br />

guidelines in this regard, as well as processes to<br />

be followed when such discrimination is found<br />

or perceived<br />

The revision <strong>of</strong> the policy documents will<br />

The Voluntary Testing and Counselling centres<br />

have increased<br />

All other military health facilities can perform<br />

testing and counselling<br />

The SAMHS encourage all members to undergo<br />

voluntary testing and counselling and on 1<br />

December <strong>2008</strong> during a successful Aids Day<br />

Health Walk in Thaba Tshwane, 104 members<br />

underwent voluntary testing and counselling<br />

The DOD HIV/Aids Monitoring and<br />

Evaluation SubProgramme was approved for<br />

implementation in 2005<br />

This plan includes monitoring and evaluation <strong>of</strong><br />

input, processes, output, outcomes and impact<br />

through more than 200 established indicators<br />
