• SANDF Force Structure Elements (FSE) Closed<br />

Down during FY <strong>2008</strong>/09. The FSEs closed<br />

down during FY <strong>2008</strong>/09 are as follows:<br />

units remaining that need to be nalised. It<br />

is expected these outstanding units will be<br />

nalised by June <strong>2009</strong>.<br />

Joint-Operations Division. Two Special<br />

Forces Headquarters, one Special Forces<br />

SA Army. A total <strong>of</strong> 16 FSEs closed<br />

a total <strong>of</strong> 31 units have been issued nal<br />

closure certicates. The SA Navy has 18<br />

(SAMHS). Twenty SAMHS FSEs are in<br />

the process <strong>of</strong> being closed and pre-audit<br />

inspections have been completed. Four <strong>of</strong><br />

these FSEs are ready to be audited by the<br />

IG DOD.<br />

o CMIS Division. Two FSEs were<br />

closed down in FY <strong>2008</strong>/09: Under the<br />
