STRATEGY AND PLANNING OFFICE<br />

Overview<br />

During the period under review the Military Policy,<br />

regarding the realisation and completion <strong>of</strong> strategic<br />

<br />

cycle and instructions in full compliance with the<br />

<br />

<br />

<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Defence</strong> Update 2025, completed and<br />

<br />

<br />

<br />

<br />

<br />

DOD Strategic Facilities footprint were provided<br />

and the draft Overarching Support Concept was<br />

developed as an updated draft. The Military Strategy<br />

<br />

input was provided for the Government’s Fifteen<br />

Years and Third Decade <strong>of</strong> Freedom reviews.<br />

In addition, through the Military Command Council,<br />

the SANDF Strategic Plans, their monitoring and<br />

evaluation as well as various requirements for the<br />

SANDF reports, were met in accordance with the<br />

timelines <strong>of</strong> Government and Parliament, as well as<br />

<br />

Readiness Index for the Balanced Scorecard, while<br />

the Overarching Support Concept for the DOD was<br />

completed. Special attention was also paid to the<br />

development <strong>of</strong> the DOD Policy for Moral (Sexual)<br />

<br />

Compilation <strong>of</strong> the SANDF input for the <strong>Defence</strong><br />

<br />

Although the MPSPO is fully staffed, personnel<br />

were deployed and sent on courses, which placed a<br />

<br />

regarding cluster management created challenges in<br />
