MTP 1(D), Vol. I 9236 SAU COMMANDER/SAC INTENDED EMPLOYMENT OF UNITS The SAC or SAU commander should promulgate, within the OTC’s policies, the intended employment of units as soon as a contact is gained, under the heading Plan RED, and the intended employment of units immediately after contact is lost, under the heading Plan BLACK. The purpose is to advise all units, well in advance, of what is expected of them and to avoid confusion at the time that contact is lost.
