Getting Started with CreativeStudio<br />

The Configuration Form has three tabs; User Settable (sp?), Stitcher Settings (which<br />

controls the stitcher) and Galil Settings (which control the motors). DO NOT make<br />

changes to either the Stitcher Settings or the Galil Settings without the guidance of<br />

the Statler Tech Support Team.<br />

The Stitcher Settings:<br />

Left Column contains the following default values–<br />

Speed – This is the default motor speed, in percentage. A value of 50 means 50%<br />

of the motor capacity.<br />

P2P Line Speed - This is the default motor speed when using the P2P Line<br />

feature.<br />

SPI – is the initial setting for stitches per inch (SPI)<br />

Min SPI – is the minimum stitches per inch allowed by CS.<br />

Tieoffs – Check means CS will do tieoff stitches at the beginning and end of each<br />

stitching line.<br />

Tieoff Stitches – This is the number of stitches taken by the tieoff feature.<br />

Tieoff SPI – This is the size of the stitches taken by the tieoff feature.<br />

Margins – This is the default margin size in inches.<br />

Tip: Tie-off stitches will be more secure if the TieSPI is not evenly<br />

divisible by the SPI. This means TieSPI divided by SPI should not be<br />

a whole number. Example:<br />

If SPI = 10, TieSPI should not be 10, 20 or 30. It can be 21, 22, 23 ... 29,<br />

31, 32, etc.<br />

If SPI = 12, Tie SPI should not be 12, 24 or 36. It can be 25, 26, 27... 35,<br />

37, 38, etc.
