<strong>Cave</strong>. Paracophus caecus appears to have descendedfrom a common ancestor from which P. apterus andP. placonotus and their allies also later developed(Hubbell, 1972). Paracophus caecus is found underrocks, but it is also often collected from cave wallsand from among stalactites.
