Recommendation (23)(bh) The D of FS agrees to this recommendationand states that regular meetings are being heldwith professionals of the building industry toexchange views on fire safety matters throughliaison committees such as -(i) FSD/AP Liaison Committee;(ii) FSD/Association of Registered FSIContractors Liaison Committee;(iii)FSD/Arch SD FSI Liaison Committee.Recommendation (24)(bi) The D of FS agrees to the recommendationfor liaising with parties concerned for thepurposes of stepping up fire safety publicityamongst the residents in both the public andprivate buildings. He undertakes to convenemeetings within two months' time.(bj) The D of H also states that it will be anon-going effort of the HD to promote residents'awareness of the importance of fire safety andcare of FSIs and equipment in their estates.8.2 This Office has carefully considered thecomments made by the FSD and other relevant policybranch/government departments/organisation and considersthat, except for our observations in paras. 6.21(ao)&(ap)(revised observations in paras. 8.1(g)&(i) respectivelyabove) , there is no need for any changes to be made toother observations/findings as well as our conclusion andrecommendations in Chapters 6 and 7 respectively.EPILOGUE8,3 Since the departments concerned have not raisedany disagreement to our recommendations, this Officeconsiders that all such recommendations made in thisreport (except Recommendation (4) on which the D of FSraises reservations) have been either accepted in full orin principle by them for implementation subject, ofcourse, to details being worked out by them.
