"General procedures(a) Inspections and testing shall be carried. out by a Fire Services Inspecting Officer(Note ?) ky arrangement with the AuthorisedPerson and the Fire Service InstallationContractor.(b) Applications for initial inspection andtesting should be made on the prescribedform (Annex XXXXII)to the D <strong>of</strong> FS, <strong>The</strong>form must be signed by both the FireService Installation Contractor and theAuthorised Person.(c) Applications should only be submitted bythe Authorised Person when theinstallation and equipment has beeninstalled, completed, and certified asbeing in efficient working order by theFire Service Installation Contractor.(d) Upon receipt <strong>of</strong> an application the FireServices Inspecting Officer will contactthe Authorised Person (Not the FireService Installation Contractor) at thetelephone number shown on the prescribedform, and arrange a mutually convenientinspection date. <strong>The</strong> Authorised Person,as the co-ordinator <strong>of</strong> the project, shouldattend the inspection and it is also hisresponsibility to contact and inform theFire Service Installation Contractor <strong>of</strong>the arrangements made.(e) A further prescribed form (Annex XXXXIII)will be used to record the result <strong>of</strong> theinspection and will be completed andsigned on site by the Fire ServicesInspecting Officer. <strong>The</strong> Authorised Personand the Contractor will also be requiredto sign this form confirming that theresults <strong>of</strong> the inspection have beenbrought to their attention,(f) In respect <strong>of</strong> minor items requiring afurther inspection the Authorised Personwill, after the defects have been- 63 -
