A further application forinspection on the prescribed form willonly be required when a refusal letter hasbeen issued subsequent to an inspection.(g) Re-inspections will be carried out asconvenient, subject only to theavailability of Inspecting Officers andprovided that previous confirmedappointments are not affected.(h) Subsequent to a satisfactory inspection,the Authorised Person will be notified bytelephone as soon as the Fire ServiceCertificate (F.S. 172) is ready forcollection. If unable to be contacted bytelephone a "ready for collection" letterwill be despatched.(i) The Certificate of Completion by WaterAuthority in respect of Fire ServiceInstallations requiring Government watermains connection will be sent direct tothe Buildings Department by the WaterAuthority, copied to the applicant, afterthe installation has been inspected andapproved by the Water Authority and thefire service connection completed.Inspections and Tests(j) The tubing of every hose reel must becapable of being readily wound round adrum of not less than 150 mm diameterwithout kinking, must not kink when ledaround sharp obstructions, and shall becapable when fitted with branch pipe andnozzle, of projecting a jet not less than6 m in length. The tubing of every hosereel shall have a bursting pressure-of notless than 2,700 kPa and shall not beporous nor exhibit any signs ofpercolation under pressure up to 2,00 0kPa.- 64 -
